I know it hurts depending on where you put it, and I would think lower back wouldn't be so bad, but the shoulder... The ones that really make me cringe are the ones that go all the way around the upper arm? That back area of your arm, the part that touches your side? Freaking ow, I can't imagine that... and the ones that are on girls chest freak me out too. It's pretty though Monet! I always wanted a little scorpion on my lower back, but my husband said he's leave me if I ever got a tattoo, so we'll never know if I'm brave enough Razz

I have a tramp stamp. A tiger cub, which will eventually be sitting in a lotus blossom.

Anything on bone hurts more.

The outline is the most painful part. Shading feels good.

The important thing is keeping in mind that unless you have it removed...it will be something you have all your life....so get something that means something and you wont mind your grandkids seeing.

That's why I always thought a simple scorpion would do (I was born in mid-November, so I am a Scorpio), it's meaning would be my astrological sign and it would be something cool as a young person, and then be just a sign of my birth as I aged. But yeah, no tattoos for me.

this is what my tat looks like with some modification I changed the sky to blue with smoke from the buildings rising up, along with 3 firehawks flying overhead. It covers my whole back.
