i have a feild being updated to 9 thats what it cost what would i get back?

I dont know the numbers so dont qoute me on this. But im betting anywhere between 50-75%.

If you click the x really fast because you know you made a mistake (pry inside 15-20 seconds) you get almost everything back. I don't think I lost but maybe 20 or 30.

but I could've just looked at the numbers wrong.

you lose the amount of this equation:

Upgrade cost for X level - Cost of puting it to current level = loss

In other words, take a clay pit going from 9 to 10:

wood 8080 - 4840 = 3240
clay 4040 -2420 = 1620
iron 8080 -4840 = 3240
wheat 5050 - 3025 = 2025

As you can see, there is a substantial loss!

lol. it is ok. i know this is a good formula because i have done the same thing. I did a trial and error last server just to make sure I read the solution right. It does not hurt when you have 18 villages and do it on a low level wheat crop.

Yep, it really starts hurting up into the higher levels, because they jump up more and more to upgrade.

It's made that way to keep people from using building/upgrades to cranny up for an attack. It's the same reason why you can't stop training troops or researching once you've started.

And yes, that formula is correct, you lose the net difference between the cost to level and the current level's cost. However, level 1 stuffs (upgraded or building) you get back the full amount if you cancel it, seeing as how the current level costs was 0|0|0|0
