Spreadsheets? Empty Spreadsheets?

Post by Surfer Mon Jul 28, 2008 5:39 pm

Hey all,

I was just wondering what kind of spreadsheets you guys are creating(if any)? I've created one to monitor Resources and one for troops. I'm interested to see what kind of stuff you guys are creating.

I created a sheet that auto calculates damage, wheat consumption, total troops, and total defense. Along with armor value based on single villages of a troop type. All I have to update is troop number and blacksmith/armory level.

Last server I had a spreadsheet on all my farms that had calculated their resources/hr, warehouse levels, and cranny levels to time my hits better. Then I burnt myself out Razz

http://help.travian.us/index.php?type=faq&gid=12

bonus added by upgrading a unit is estimated to be 1.5% (factor 1.015).
This means a unit's attack worth is base_worth*1.015^Blacksmith_level.

Yeah, what he said. It's kinda pointless but I figured WTH, I'm bored at work...lol

From a small scale it doesn't look like much, but on a larger scale it looks better.

I just made a little spreadsheet to optimize my NPC merchant distribution to maximize my Spearman production.

I'm not thinking clearly at the moment (been working on a big project), can anyone think how to distribute it for an infantry and cavalry, at say a 1:2 ratio?

I have one that I can input cost to build in each resource and then type in "extra" total resources and the split I want to make (if I want 10% to cats, 30% to EC, and 60% to imps) and this figures out my split at the NPC merchant. There is a second page that I go to and it actually tells me how many of each this comes down to. I had this factored out for all 3 races, but kept splitting for Gauls and had to remove the stuff I did not need. It also has forms for just about anything resource wise that you could need, including breaking down your total income to see if you used merchants, how long it would take all villages to produce the res needed to build a certain object.

Hmmm, perhaps I can put my minor in statistics to good use. I'll develop a model that is so amazing, it will even wipe your ass for you after you shat! Razz

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm with Pika... my spreadsheet is in my head... and it doesn't work that great either.

I'd love to see your formula(e) and/or spreadsheet, if you don't mind.

Actually, maybe that's a good next project. Make a spreadsheet that accounts for troop build times, resource production, and outputs the best NPC split to keep everything working 24/7.

I'm afraid I might turn into a gold addict Crying or Very sad

Well I have a photographic memory so a spreadsheet is not needed but if anyone has any extra film I could use a little!

Well my spreadsheet calculates:

-Resource Distribution for merchant trades
-Possible troop builds with current resources
-Total offensive/defensive troops, wheat consumption vs. population
-tracking of farms
-and I have cost library for common buildings and culture point costs
