I am thankful for every blessing bestowed upon me. I am also thankful for all the trials I have been put thru in the last 47 years. That about sums it up.

But most of all I am thankful for all the blessings God has given me in my life.

One can always hope! But what the hell. Worst season in Michigan history might as well make it the worst in Lions history too. But Im into the cornbread and cant help rootin for dem dar leos! Im a gluttin for punishment I guess.

There too many things I am thankful for to list out. But the most precious of these are:

God
Family
Friends
Health
My individual rights, freedoms, and blessings as prescribed by the scriptures and the consitution.

As long as I have these; all other aspects become icing on the cake.

I am thankful for:

Family: Especially my children and my parents. I can't imagine life without my kids. Even though there are times that they drive me nuts, they always seem to know when mom is down and do anything that they can to make me feel better. They are by far the greatest things that ever happened to me. My mom and I argue all the time, but I know that she loves me (even though she doesn't really show it). Oh yeah ..... and I am also very thankful for my two cats .... Smudge & Iris.

Friends: I am thankful for the very close friends that I have ... friends that I can trust with my life. Friends that are always there for you, even when you screw up. Ones that don't pass judgment on you. Sure they can tell me how dumb I was, but they make it very clear that they don't love me any less just because I f*** up.

Health: This is something that most of us take for granted. My best friend has dealt with both her boyfriend and her daughter being diagnosed with cancer. She has also been diagnosed with diabetes. The biggest health concern I've had to deal with is an unruly thyroid.

As long as I have the above mentioned 3 items, I don't give a rats ass about material possessions. Those are items that can be replaced, the other 3 things can't ever be replaced.

We should all take more than a day out of the year to give thanks. Lets not forget the friends and family members that are dear to us and let them know as often as possible how much you love them!
